QNUK Level 1 Award in Mental Health Awareness (RQF) 603/4547/0

This qualification is aimed for anyone wishing to develop an awareness of mental health. The course develops understanding of common mental health disorders, how to recognise the causes and impact of common health conditions and stress. Different ways of managing own mental well-being. 

QNUK Level 1 Award in Mental Health Awareness (RQF) corresponds to Level 3 component award on Irelands National Framework of Qualifications.

Learning Outcomes:

  1. Be aware of common mental health disorders.
  2. Know how to recognise the causes and impact of stress.
  3. Know how to recognise the causes and impact of common mental health conditions.
  4. Know different ways to manage their own mental wellbeing. 

Assessment Requirements:

Each learner will be assessed for this qualification by the completion of a 25 minute written examination paper consisting of multiple choice and short answer questions.

Duration:

1 x day training

 

QNUK Level 2 Award in Mental Health at Work  (RQF) 603/4548/2

This qualification is aimed for employees. It is important that individuals understand their own mental health and how common mental health concerns can be identified in themselves and others; with strategies to reduce the risk. The qualification will support employees to recognise, support and signpost those with mental health conditions.

QNUK Level 2 Award in Mental Health at Work (RQF) corresponds to Level 4 component award on Irelands National Framework of Qualifications.

Learning Outcomes:

  1. Be aware of common mental health disorders.
  2. Know how to recognise the causes and impact of stress.
  3. Know how to recognise the causes and impact of common mental health conditions.
  4. Understand how individuals may use harmful strategies to cope with a mental health disorder.
  5. Know how to support an individual with a mental health issue.

Assessment Requirements:

Each learner will be assessed for this qualification by the completion of a 40 minute written examination paper consisting of multiple choice and short answer questions. 

Duration:

QNUK Level 3 Award in Mental Health at Work  (RQF) 603/4549/4

This qualification is aimed for those in leadership roles such as Human Resources, Business Partners, Managers, Supervisors, Team Leaders. It is important that individuals understand how common mental health concerns can be identified in themselves and others. Learners will develop knowledge of a range of mental health conditions, potential impacts on an individual in the workplace and where to refer them for help and support. Learners will hold a mental health conversation with the aim of providing support and the legal requirements for managing mental health in the workplace. 

QNUK Level 3 Award in Mental Health at Work (RQF) corresponds to Level 5 component award on Irelands National Framework of Qualifications.

Learning Outcomes:

  1. Be aware of common mental health disorders.
  2. Know how to recognise the causes and impact of stress.
  3. Know how to recognise the causes and impact of common mental health conditions.
  4. Know how to recognise and support individuals with a personality disorder.
  5. Know how to recognise and support individuals with Psychosis.
  6. Understand how individuals may use harmful strategies to cope with a mental health disorder.
  7. Know how to to recognise and support an individual in suicidal crisis.
  8. Be able to support an individual with a mental health issue.
  9. Know the legal requirements for managing mental health in a workplace.

Assessment Requirements:

Each learner will be assessed for this qualification by the completion of a 60 minute written examination paper consisting of multiple choice and short answer questions.
